Chelsea Green is recognized for her creative approach in the wrestling world. Her continuous brainstorming keeps her on-screen persona fresh, which is a key reason she was chosen as the inaugural women's United States Champion.

With a background in hardcore wrestling, Chelsea Green has experience from her time in GCW alongside her husband, Matt Cordona. This experience came into play during her Women's United States Championship defense on WWE Smackdown, where she emulated the style of 'The Hardcore Legend.'

During a press conference for the NASCAR Pennzoil 400 race, Chelsea Green was interviewed by Adrian Hernandez, who inquired about her recent homage to WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley's alter ego, Cactus Jack. She appeared in Jack's iconic red checkered vest and a shirt featuring a 'Wanted' sign with her face.

Chelsea Green Seeks Mick Foley's Approval

In her discussion, Chelsea Green revealed that she initially struggled to find ways to make the street fight engaging. However, she thought of Foley, who is a close friend. After seeking his approval, the legendary wrestler expressed his support for her tribute on WWE television.

“I texted him. I said, 'How would you feel if not only I dressed as Cactus Jack, but I also came out with a shirt that was a parody, a play on the shirt that you came out with back in the day?' He loved it and he was supportive. I knew that was the right decision, especially being in Philly with the ECW ties, the hardcore ties,” Chelsea Green shared.

On the March 7 episode of WWE Smackdown, Chelsea Green embraced her inner Mick Foley while defending her Women's United States Championship against Michin, who wore a Philadelphia Eagles jersey. Thanks to the unexpected arrival of Alba Fyre, Chelsea retained her title.

Additionally, Chelsea Green welcomed a new member to her 'Secret Her-vice' faction alongside Piper Niven. She won the women's US title at the Saturday Night's Main Event in December 2024, marking her first solo title reign in WWE.
